Artist Statement
At Bucket List Pottery, I celebrate the imperfections and organic beauty that comes from the process of creation. I celebrate the versatility and resilience of clay as a medium. Every piece is individually handmade; transforming raw earth into functional art that can be enjoyed and cherished for years to come. I strive for a simple, clean, and refined aesthetic that prioritizes function while celebrating form.
Teaching Philosophy
I seek to share the joy and placidity that I experience in my own studio practice. I build on fundamentals; paying very particular attention to adjustments and adaptations directed by their physical or learning obstacles. With proficiency, I encourage challenging themselves to build confidence in their craftsmanship and creativity.
Ambitions
I will spend some time at home in South Carolina while I continue to absorb the vast amount of art and influence I have been exposed to at The Archie Bray. However, anyone who knows me knows that the next adventure is never far away. I will be seeking out more opportunities to learn and teach.
