Making mud pretty since 2022
First I was a US Marine, then a Detective with the LAPD. I retired in 2022 and traded in my badge for pair of overalls and dove hands first into pottery. I started in a studio within walking distance of my home in Los Angeles and two years later found myself an Educational Fellow at the esteemed Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana. At 'The Bray' I was surrounded by some serious ceramic artists (and pretty amazing people) who have inspired me and helped launch my next career as a teaching artist with an aversion to elitism. Pottery has taught me how to let go of perfection, that I am capable of being creative and above all, resiliency. And when the raw clay isn’t doing what I want, I chuck it in the bucket and start again.
Thus was born Bucket List Pottery.
